Current Fishing Conditions:
Coastal Fishing: Good calico bass in LJ Kelp and Pt. Loma Kelp
T Shark fishing still good in LJ canyon and Carlsbad canyon, but fish are starting to move up the line out of O’side and Dana Point.
Bait o matic are the best bet right now. Purple and black/ Pink best colors
Not much YT seen in the last week, still here or there, but no volume yet
San Clemente/Catalina Island
Catalina hit or miss some YT showing on frontside,
Squid for sale outside Avalon. Call Ch11
SCI had a real good snap of Cbass last week with fish up to 50 lbs
But Navy shut down the area.
Look for the next moon phase to bring on the next bite
World class Bonita fishing up and down the coast. Fish the 12 lbs
Jet heads, Chrome iron, and small diving plugs are the best. Bleed them and ice down quickly for good table fare.
Just need the water to come up a couple of degrees and hold-on things are going to SNAP!
