It's hard to believe, but the truth is the summer SD boat show is over.  San Diego showed off it's great weather and the SCMA did a terrific job with the show.  While I can't say the crowds were overwhelming, there were times when the docks and boats were overflowing, and the quality of the people we  met more than made up for the quiet times.

The Viking 60 BCE drew some big crowds at times.

a small wait to see the 67' Viking SportCruiser

Steve B (Our service manager) and his crew of Erich & Jay made our display look great

A big THANK YOU and a hearty congratulations to our entire team for making this show a success.  Special thanks to both the Jeff's (Helsing & Hall)  for coming down to help along with Rich Davis from our Newport Beach office.  A round of applause goes out to our lovely boat show ladies (and girls) who answered questions, signed up new prospects for our email list, reminded guests to remove their shoes and generally made things run smooth. Thank you Barbara, Audrey, Sydney & Tarina, you not only got the job done, but you made it fun as well.  Kudos to Michael G. for organizing, prodding and keeping all of us in line as well a providing a couple of practical jokes (follow me to Comic-Con) to keep the family together, happy & smiling.  It's always great to work a boat show with Capitan's Steve L and Pete G from TEAM BAD COMPANY,  thier knowledge and stories can entertain the crowd.  When they are not busy signing autographs they even try to help sell a boat.  And I can not forget to mention a thank you for new daddy Eric P.,  that not only did he work the show, but he was able to stay awake the whole time ( first daughter Liliana is 20 days old, not letting him get his beauty rest!).

TEAM BAD COMPANY Captain's Pete G & Steve L do a side by side comparison of some new reels during a slow spell.

The Tiaras attract a crowd as well as the 72' Viking Enclosed bridge SF

Eric takes the 67' VSC home

When the show finishes it's final day we are quick to start moving boats home, even though after 4 full (and long) days we couldn't wait to get a couple of boats moving.  Jeff Helsing grabbed the IPS powered Tiara 35' Sovran, Eric & Erich had the duty to take the 67' home after they raised the anchor and I was fortunate to grab the Viking 60' BCE.  You know we must be tired as we didn't even take a small joyride but headed straight back to nest (Crow's Nest) with all the boats.

The blue hulled 60-107 next to the team boat BAD COMPANY 60-105 (107 is for sale, call us for info!) back home at the nest.

Over all, a very successful show for us, we met lot's of new people and caught up with many old friends.  I would like to think we all are going to take a day off, but all of us in the SD office have sea trials and surveys to finish up on Monday so there is no rest for the weary.  If you missed us at the show don't worry, just give us a call (619-222-1122) or drop us an email for you own private and personal tour of our boats.  We would love to show them to you.  See you around the waterfront.
