Ever wonder what goes into putting on a large, in the water boat show?  Well, it is not as simple as just driving a bunch of boats into a marina and setting up a tent.  This Thursday the San Diego Yacht & Boat show opens and a lot of people have been working for days to get the venue ready.  With a new layout to this years show at the Sheraton and the adjacent Spanish Landing Park, a lot has gone on even in just one day.  Yesterday, Michael Gardella and I drove over to see our new spot in the show and see how we were to lay out our 7 yachts in the show .  There was an abundance of empty docks and an empty parking lot that would serve as the dry land display and tent area.  By the time we brought 4 of our boats over today it was a totally different scene.  Ryan and his crew from the SCMA (Southern California Marine Assoc.) must have worked all though the night!  The empty parking lot now had dozens of displays of trailer boats and tents, and the marina was 75% filled as well.  Our new location is so easy to find and we have great road visibility as well. To visit us at the show, walk down the main entrance gangway and turn right, go about 150' and you will enter our display.... you can't miss us!   We will have two new Tiaras (39' FB Conv and 35' Sovran with IPS!), a 72' Viking enclosed bridge with tower SF, and a 58' Riviera enclosed bridge with tower SF.  These boats all went into the show today.

The two new Tiaras await you!

Look for towers... 4 of our boats will have them and will be standing tall!

Here are the 58' Riviera and the 72' Viking.

On Wednesday,  we will bring over the new 67' Viking SportCruiser, the new Viking 60' Bad Company Edition and the 55' Hatteras BAD COMPANY (the boat that won over $4 million dollars!) After the last couple of boats get in, the rest of the floating docks will be installed and then come the finishing touches like carpet, lights and signs.

Last of the floating docks awaiting the final boats before they go in place.

Our service crew led by Steve Besozzi will come in and set up our flags, banners, steps, and signs.  The detail crew will start and by Thursday we will be ready for showtime!  We are all excited by the new layout of this show and hope you will come down and join us! Please come by and say hello and see the new Vikings , Tiaras and the great brokerage boats we will be displaying.  I will try to give an update from the show by Friday so stop by and I will take your picture and post it on our website!   See you at the show!

Our corner of the show, the empty docks on the left of the photo will be the temporary home of the new Vikings and the BAD COMPANY.
