Rich is a second-generation Newport Beach native, who grew up around boating in Newport. Competition is no stranger to him as he started very young winning awards as an avid competitive swimmer which quickly progressed into boating with a passion for all types and sizes. He has competed in International Sailing Regattas and Bill Fishing Tournaments, to owning a charter business in Mexico. He is fluent in Spanish which, while living and cruising on the Gold Coast of Mexico, enabled him to start the first Mexican Yacht Brokerage in Puerto Vallarta. He was also the Sales Director for the first Mexican based Hatteras, Carver, Wellcraft, Scarab, and Hunter dealerships while residing in Mexico.
He has always been actively involved with every aspect of the yachting business and lifestyle. He has logged thousands of nautical miles at sea, sailing, cruising, and fishing from the Sea of Cortez, up the West Coast of Mexico, Southern and Northern California Coast, the Pacific Northwest, and many ports in between.
He continuously strives to increase his valuable knowledge of boat building technologies through visits to national & international shipyards. He is highly experienced with shipping & transportation issues, offshore tax regulations, crew & delivery matters, as well as marine financing.
Additionally, Rich has sold and project managed many new-construction/multi-million dollar custom yachts with hands-on involvement, for various clients, with numerous boat building facilities all over the world, to include New Jersey, Michigan, California, Florida, Tennessee, the Pacific Northwest, and Taiwan, R.O.C.
