Five Marlin in Five Days for Kids on Bad Company!
Newport Beach, CA: Crow’s Nest Yachts headed up by Newport Beach entrepreneur Anthony Hsieh, along with Team Bad Company – one of the top fishing teams in the world – shared the love of fishing with 5 young anglers.
During Crow’s Nest Yachts first annual Fishing Round Up and Viking Rendezvous, hosted on the EPYC’s
Pacific Provider, Team Bad Company joined the festivities, taking time out of their busy fishing schedule to share their love of angling and get three lucky anglers their first marlin.

Steve Lassley’s son David, 9, and Pete Groesbeck's son Alex, 13 joined their fathers for the weekend of fishing and festivities. Nine year-old David started the trend, catching a marlin on first thing Friday morning. The young man, looking so small in the cockpit, held his own against the stripe marlin, notching yet another marlin catch. Alex held his own as the team hooked another stripe marlin, brining in the dancer in quick time. Both boys ended the day catching Dorado and Yellows. It looks as the though the apple does not fall far from the tree.

The hook-ups kept coming–on the final day of the Roundup, 13 year old Madison Lampe caught her first marlin on Team Bad Company’s, 2009 Viking 60. Her catch and passion for all things fishing even caught the attention of the
San Diego Tribune.

On the final day of the Viking Rendezvous, hosted by EPYC aboard the beautiful 165 foot
Pacific Provider, 16 year old Lauren and 13 year old JP from the
Promark (a beautiful Viking 52 Convertible) along with Tim Hyde, joined the team for what would become another epic day of fishing. Team Bad Company did not disappoint, and the marlin cooperated as well. The morning started off right as Lauren hooked her first marlin, her catch and release lasting a total of 15 minutes. The Bad Co Team was fired up; wanting to go 5 for 5, ensuring each kid on the yacht caught a marlin. JP did not disappoint, catching and release his first marlin in 30 minutes.

The Crow’s Nest Yachts weekend of special events turned out to be even more special as three lucky young anglers left with a fish story for the ages – their first marlin catch.
“Don't miss this event next year,” said Steve Lassley, Captain of Team Bad Company. “I think next year each day we are going to draw a kids name from a hat and try to get them a Marlin. That was better than winning a tournament.”
