She's fast and beautiful!

Initial sea trial reports for the
Viking 82 Convertible are impressive. With 3,000 gallons of fuel, full water and waste tanks, the cockpit fish boxes and freezers full of water, plus 6,000 pounds of lead in the salon for ballast, the 82 C powered with twin 2400 mhp MTU Series 2000 M93 engines established a notable baseline by recording 30.5 knots at 2100 rpm, 32.4 knots at 2200 rpm and 36.8 knots at full load. On its second run after burning off a few hundred gallons of fuel, the 82 C turned in a faster top end that was .6 knots quicker, reaching a 37.4 knot figure.
